The K Sisters are:
Karen Lee-Morlang (piano & vocals)
Caitlin Beaupré (soprano)
Madeline Lucy Smith (soprano)
Melanie Adams (mezzo-soprano).
These four accomplished musicians will take you back in time to the fabulous music of the '30's, '40's, and '50's!
Inspired by the iconic Andrews Sisters, The K SIsters will perform music from the World War II era, complete with choreography and dazzling tight harmonies. The second set will highlight a trio of the most revered Tin Pan Alley composers: George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.
Quick Bio:
Formed in the autumn of 2010, The K Sisters created an instant chemistry both on and off the stage. As award-winning soloists and collaborative musicians, each sister brings multiple university degrees and over a decade of professional stage, radio and choral performing experience. Their vibrant stage presence, lively choreography, musicianship and humour have helped them quickly establish a loyal following. While touring British Columbia, they also performed their World War II tribute set for hundreds of veterans and their families at various branches of the Royal Canadian Legion and the George Derby Center for Canadian Veterans of the Armed Forces. In December 2010, they debuted a brand new seasonal CD “Jingle Jangle!” and a second album “Swingin’ With The K Sisters”, newly recorded at the end of 2011.
