The Birthdays
Songwriters Nick Fuller and Nolan Ericson began playing music together in high school. In college, the two shared a dorm room directly adjacent to bassist extraordinaire, Aaron Wahlborg. It didn’t take long for the nameless trio to land gigs all over Seattle’s coffeehouse circuit. After college, the boys decided to get “serious,” finally settling on their band name. But it wouldn’t be until toward the end of 2006, when drummer Michael Nunan joined the group that The Birthdays were truly born. Through various hiatuses stemming from laziness, personal distractions, and life trajectories perhaps at odds with the creation of music, The Birthdays have managed to stick together thanks to the strength of their friendships. They perform pop songs influenced by a wide range of eras, which deal with a wider range of subject matters. Their genre-hopping live set is sure to delight music fans of all sorts. Also, they recently released an album titled “a spirited rendition,” which you’ll want to hear. Don’t miss them at the height of their powers, at this “farewell for now” show.
