Event Description

Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering: Everyone—welcome Jam at 6:45pm, Open Stage at 7:30pm, Feature Performers Clover Point Drifters at 9:00pm; Norway House, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door!

Once again, the Folk welcomes the Clover Point Drifters for an evening of bluegrass, seasonal ditties, and good humour as only they can provide!

The band has been continuously active for over 25 years with the same old five guys, each having a decades-long love affair with bluegrass music: Alan Law on guitar, lead & harmony vocals; George Robinson on bass & lead vocals; Dan Parker on mandolin & lead vocals; Mike Kraft on banjo & harmony vocals; and Larry Stevens on resophonic guitar & lead vocals.

The Drifters’ performances feature close, heartfelt duet and trio harmonies backed by strong banjo, dobro, and mandolin accompaniment. Good times tonight - guaranteed!!
