Renowned Canadian songwriter Stephen Fearing is posed to once again captivate listeners with the release of his new album, The Empathist. Supporting Fearing are his longtime collaborators, the award-winning Danish indie-folk band The Sentimentals. Their dynamic partnership, which began in 2018, has lit up stages across Europe and Canada, bringing a unique fusion of classic Tin Pan Alley songwriting and innovative folk elements to life. Fearing and The Sentimentals have developed a distinctive sound, blending tradition and experimentation into performances that captivate audiences night after night.

Come celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the St. James Community Square, one of the pillars of Vancouver’s vibrant arts and recreational communities. St. James is a registered charity dedicated to providing affordable community space for cultural, social, educational and recreational activities in the heart of the Kitsilano neighbourhood. The evening includes a concert with Canadian folk icon Stephen Fearing with his Danish band The Sentimentals, along with a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and light snacks. While enjoying stellar music by one of BC’s finest, you can help raise funds to support the operation of this much loved, and well used, cultural hub.
