Brahms and Schumann, great friends as well as legendary composers, created some of the most enduring and beloved symphonic works of their time. This concert celebrates their undisputed genius alongside the extraordinary virtuosity of Jonathan Mak, the winner of the inaugural Bader and Overton Canadian Piano Competition. The program is big and bold, with magnificence in every musical turn of phrase. What more could you ask for?
