Nashville-based singer-songwriter Katie Pruitt released her debut album Expectations in 2020 to critical acclaim. The LP, which documented her journey in growing up queer in the Christian South, earned Pruitt a nomination for Emerging Artist of the Year from the Americana Music Association and took her on the road with artists like Brandi Carlile, My Morning Jacket, The Milk Carton Kids, Shakey Graves, and more. Now, Pruitt returns to the road in 2024 in support of her highly-anticipated sophomore album Mantras. Mainly produced by Collin Pastore and Jake Finch (known for their work with boygenius and Lucy Dacus), the album delves deeper into the empathetic storytelling and incisive self-examination that defined Expectations.
