The Wojtek Justyna TreeOh! fuses the energy of funk-jazz, the colors and rhythms of world music with fresh sonic explorations. Formed in Holland by Polish guitar player Wojtek Justyna who is recognized for his sound and versatility, the band consists of members from different parts of Europe: from Austria, bassist Daniel Lottersberger whose heavy groove is supported by a true festival of rhythm courtesy of funk drummer extraordinaire Alex Bernath, from Germany, and Portuguese percussion wizard Diogo Carvalho who also commands the Moog synthesizer. This gives Wojtek a thick, rich base for his singing, melodic guitar phrases to float on top of.
Sound production at the RCHA will be provided by Geoff Chown, one of Kingston's finest sound techs.
