Event Description

Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering, Open Stage 7:30pm. Feature Performer 9pm, Nov 6 - Keith Scott, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash, Everyone welcome!

Keith Scott is a veteran of the Chicago Blues and has performed internationally for over 30 years. Rebounding from the recent downturn in the performing arts, Keith has recently toured Alaska, Whitehorse, and just returned from a Blues festival in Ireland. He is a regular performer at The House of Blues in Chicago and has released nine CDs of original music. This will be his fourth solo acoustic appearance at the Victoria Folk Society. While living in Chicago Keith has played with many of the Blues Greats including, Hubert Sumlin, Koko Taylor, and Jimmy Dawkins. He is known as a dynamic and engaging performer as well as a history buff on Chicago music history. In recent years Keith has performed throughout Canada including the Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival and for the Abbotsford Blues Society.
