Event Description

African Boogie is a monthly dance party aiming to promote rare african and middle eastern grooves, from funk to disco to house to acid and more.. Music recorded in the 70's, 80's till today.

Selectors:
HZ 528: The HZ 528 collective consists of two Vancouver Island based friends and musical kindred spirits. Crossing many musical traditions their eclectic sound is perhaps a result of their varied and cross cultural backgrounds. One hailing from Western Canada and the other from Eastern Europe, collectively the duos influences and skills are wide ranging. Pooling a vast musical knowledge from Jazz to African and House Music. HZ 528s focus is based on the sounds of Africa and to promote rare and sometime never heard of African artist.
