Event Description

Harpdog Brown is a gifted singer and imaginative harmonica player of note that has been in Canadas Blues scene since 1982.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta and based in Vancouver, British Columbia, hes crossed tens of thousands of miles playing club dates and festivals in Canada, North Western United States and Germany.
Over the years Harpdog has issued 6 CDs to critical acclaim. In 1995 his Home is Where The Harp Is won the coveted Muddy Award for the best NW Blues Release of the year, from the Cascade Blues Association in Portland. As well that year it was nominated for a Juno for the best Blues Release in Canada. Teamed up with Graham Guest on piano, his CD Naturally was voted #1 Canadian Blues Album of 2011 by The Blind Lemon Survey.
Harpdog resides in Vancouver, BC where he leads his own trio and quartet of hot local players churning out blues on the jazzy mellower side. He also leads The Harpdog Brown Band which is a gutsy traditional Chicago blues band with John R Hunter (drums), Jordan Edmonds (guitar) and George Fenn (bass). In 2014 they released What It Is consisting mainly new originals and a few classic covers you dont get from your average blues band. As Holger Peterson says on the jacket, Harpdogs best work yet. Check it out.

Residential Bear:

The best music of the 60's and 70's played the way it's meant to be! The Bear roars!
Biography
RESIDENTIAL BEAR brings back whats missing from good old fashioned rock and roll. Comprised of five musicians who have spent the last few years logging countless hours and over 150,000 kilometers touring to prove that the hard rockin sounds of the 60s and 70s dont need to be performed by musicians in their 60s and 70s. Residential Bear features three members of The Led Zeppelin Show, the worlds most accurate tribute to live Led Zeppelin. They use vintage gear, vintage chops and a staggering repertoire of everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top and The Beatles to Stevie Wonder to get people dancing, singing and having an unforgettable time rocking with the groovy sounds of the Bear.
