1. Colleen Eccleston
Victoria BC’s Colleen Eccleston packs an explosive voice and an extraordinary sense of performance. She is rock singer, traditional folk singer and driving rhythm guitarist all in one.
Her original songs reflect the deep and interesting world she sees around her and she is a well of great stories from her life of adventure growing up across Canada.
Colleen has performed and recorded extensively as a solo artist. She has fronted a rock band, been actively an environmentalist and peace activist, she has a degree in acting and is a rock and roll and songwriting instructor.
She has also toured with James Keelaghan, Under the Moss, Rattle in the Dash, Grand Union, Sandy Scofield and Jenny Allen as the SAE band and Valdy to name a few. She has appeared in concert with Lucie blue Tremblay, John Gorka, Christine Lavin, Garnet Rogers, Ron Hynes and the list goes on . . . .
2. Karel Roessingh
Karel Roessingh is a composer, arranger, producer and musician who has written scores for over five hundred television episodes, and many award-winning films, documentaries, and promotional videos.
As well as performing on countless recordings for other artists, he has produced more than fifteen of his own recordings, including several for the Canadian Naturescapes series which have been distributed world-wide, two jazz trio CDs and many solo piano CDs, the latest three of which were released in November, 2008. In 2011 he produced Valdy's latest CD.
In addition to his career in music, Karel has also been heavily involved in his home community of the Highlands, serving two terms as Mayor and now serving his third term as Councilor, chairs the Victoria Public Library Board and the CREST Finance Committee, is a founding board member of the Island Biodiesel Co-op, and a board member of the Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts.
