VENICE QUEEN are a 4-piece rock band from Richmond whose inspiration is derived from countless different groups and styles, with each song naturally sounding different from the rest. While inspired by bands like Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones and Queens of the Stone Age, they refuse to pinpoint themselves to a specific genre other than to what sounds pleasing to their ears and hopefully to others! The GOLDEN MEAN deftly blend the melody-rich alternative rock of the '90s with the heavy hitting rhythms of contemporary hard rock. Their debut full-length CD "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", recorded at Greenhouse Studios with producer Jay "Juice" Evjen (Hot Hot Heat, Wide Mouth Mason), presents a thick wall of sound with melodic vocals, rich guitars and pounding drums and bass.
