Ryan Shane Owen

Ryan Shane Owen is an independent Canadian musician who sings, plays piano and guitar, and produces music entirely on his own. He has been in 5 different bands and duos over the years, before going solo in 2018.
Having produced a catalogue of 44 original songs so far, Ryan released 3 original albums in 2021 & 2022, and 2 albums of modern cover songs after that.
Over the past year, Ryan returned to his roots in classical and folk music, with modern interpretations of traditional music.
In November 2023, Ryan released “Wintersong”, an album of 14 classical and folk pieces, and in May 2024, he released “Summersong”, part 2. Between the 28 songs on the two albums, Ryan sings in 10 different languages.
Born in Winnipeg, and having grown up in Saskatchewan, Ryan has lived across Canada from Victoria and Vancouver to Toronto and Montreal, but has resided in BC for most of the past 15 years.
